Ustad Sarahang - Shad Kon Jon Man
Ustad Sarahang at his Kabul Concert with sharif ghazal, eltaf hussain, farid and ustad asef. His medal count reached 20, a status earned by fewer than a handful of musicians in the world, and by far the youngest musician to earn so many titles and medals. Ustad Sarahang once said that if he were to die in India, he was to be buried next to the tomb of Baydel, but if he were to die in Afghanistan, he requested to be buried in Kharabat. Upon his last trip to India in 1982, Ustad Sarahang fell gravely ill and was hospitalized and ordered not to sing and to keep his talking to a minimum. But Ustad Sarahang disregarded the orders of his doctors and continued his performance which earned him yet another medal and with it the pride to the people of Afghanistan.

Legendary Tabla Guru Abdul Sattar Taari Khan is world famous for his art of playing Tabla but rarely he does sing too as I had earlier posted one video of him singing Khatir Ghaznavi's Ghazal Go zara si baat par barson kay yaaranay gayay. This ghazal was sung to perfection way back in golden days of Radio Pakistan by Legendary Mehdi Hassan who also happens to be the Guru of Ustad Taari Khan in singing field (again very few people know this) BUT in that previous upload of Ustad Taari Khan Tabla was being played by some junior PTv tabla person and Ustad Taari Khan being the tabla genius himself was having sync problems with him.. and seeing this it was perhaps planned that Ustad Taari Khan will present atleast one such rare exaample in which he should not only sing but also play Tabla simultaneously by himself. This very very rare ocassion has been captured and uploaded here by me especially for the fans and followers of Ustad Taari Khan from all around the world. Ustad Taari Khan ki awaz mein unhi kay tabla par un kay hi singing guru Mehdi Hassan ki hi gaai hui Ahmed Faraz ki mash-hoor tareen Ghazliyat mein say aik.. At his memorial service held in San Rafael Ustad Zakir Hussain spoke to us about Ustad Ali Akbar Khan.
