Ziyarat Ashura - Abathar Al-Halawaji - زيارة عاشوراء ابا ذر الحلواجي
Alqamah bin Mohammed ibn Hazrami (ra) narrates 'I requested Imam Baqir (as) to teach me a dua that I should recite on the day of Aashoora after the reciting the Ziyaarat of Imam Husain (as) - from near his (as) grave or from a distance.' Imam (as) replied 'O Alqamah, whenever you wish to recite the Ziyaarat of Imam Husain (as), you first perform two units of prayers. Then turn towards the grave of Imam Husain (as) and while pointing towards it, you first say 'Salam' and then 'Takbir'. Thereafter, you recite this Ziyaarat (Ziyaarate Aashoora). If you do so, then as if you have recited the supplication read by the angels while visiting the grave of Imam Husain (as). Moreover, when you recite this Ziyaarat, then (a) Allah will increase your grade ten lakh times (b) You will be included among those people who were martyred along with Imam Husain (as) (c) On the day of Judgment, you will be included among the martyrs (d) You will get the reward of all the Prophets (as) who have visited the grave of Imam Husain (as) from the day that he (as) was martyred till date. And the way of reciting the Ziyaarat is like this' (Then Imam (as) recited the entire Ziyaarate Aashoora for Alqamah (ra)) (Kaamil al-Ziyaarat, Ibn Qoolwayh, Ch. 71, p.194) Ziyarat Ashura is salutations to the martyrs of Karbala who sacrificed their life along with that of Aba Abdillah [a] for the sake of Islam and for preserving Islam. Ziyarat Ashura (Recited by Hajj Mahdi Samavati) Masar Ash-Shira by Shaykh Mufid, The Month of Muharram: "And visitation (ziyarat) to the shrines is recommended in it, and to do much prayer upon Muhammad and his family, and to implore to Allah with cursing upon their enemies and oppressors. And it is narrated that whoever visits the grave of Hussain (as) on the day of Ashura is from the group of martyrs with him. And it is narrated that whoever visits the graves of Husaain (as) on the day of Ashura, then it is as though he visited Allah in His Throne. And it is narrated that whoever visits him and spends the night with him on the night of `Ashura until he enters morning, Allah will gather him stained with the blood of Hussain (as) in the group of the martyrs with him. And it is narrated that whoever visits him in this day, Allah forgives for him what has preceded from his sins and what comes after. And it is narrated that whoever wants to fulfill the right of the Messenger of Allah (saw) and the right of Amir Al- Mu'mineen (as) and Fatimah (as) and Hassan (as) and Hussain (as) then he is to visit the grave of Hussain (as) in the day of `Ashura."
